Delete files & folders

Deletes files and directories by wildcard.

Description

Optionally, you may add comments here describing the purpose of this element.

File, Wildcard or Folder

Specify a file, a wildcard or a directory that you would like to delete.

c:\temp\*.txt

Ignore Wildcards

You can exclude files from the search by separating their names or masks with a comma.

myfile.*, a???.txt, log.txt

Seek Just Files

Check this box to use the specified wildcard for seeking and deleting the files only.

Recursive search

Check this checkbox to enable the recursive search in all subdirectories.

Delete to Recycle Bin

Select this checkbox if you want to delete files into Recycle Bin. In this case, you will be able to restore deleted files in the future.

Delete Readonly Files

Select this checkbox if you also want to delete files with the 'Read Only' attribute.

Error message

If you check this box, an error message will be displayed if the program cannot delete the file.

Output log message

If you check this box, all deleted files and directories will be shown.
